Seaway7 purchases Z‑Bridge "Bring‑to‑Work" System after successful initial 15‑month rental deployment on HLV Alfa Lift
IJmuiden (NL), 21 July 2025 – Z‑Bridge is pleased to announce that Offshore contractor Seaway7 has purchased a Bring‑to‑Work (B2W) motion‑compensated offshore access system, following a 15‑month rental period aboard its heavy‑lift vessel Alfa Lift.
The system was mobilized in October 2023 and has supported the operation of the Alfa Lift HLV on a project, in providing safe and efficient transfer of personnel and cargo between the vessel and the TP’s. Where the system initially was developed for operating on smaller vessels, the limited footprint and flexible landing height have also proven to be of great value to optimize deck space for larger vessels, eliminating big substructures for providing access to heights. After a 15-month successful rental period, Z-Bridge and Seaway7 entered into a purchase agreement of the system, which was effectuated end of February 2025.
To mark this hand‑over, Z‑Bridge General Manager Joost Böggemann presented earlier this month a scale model of the B2W to Seaway7 Technical Superintendent Marco van der Zwan.
“This first system sale validates the market demand for innovation in the offshore Access segment” said Joost Böggemann. “We look forward to supporting Seaway7 as they deploy their Bring-to-Work on their projects and see this as a first step into the market of clients desiring to purchase instead of renting.”
Z-Bridge B.V. continues to support the ongoing operation under a SLA providing operator training at the Z-Bridge Learning Hub, Technical support and operational assistance to its Tier1 client Seaway7.
